Spring Highlights

May 1, 2
 - Opening weekend. Welcome back campers. Please open up your trailers, set up your tents, start your fires. Camp is officially open. Uncle John and Aunt Julie welcome you all to their site for a fire with marshmallows. We will have music and much more.

May 8, 9 Mother's Day Weekend

-Send your kids to the Game Room for a special craft for Mom. Dad's be prepared to make breakfast in bed for your lovely ladies. Mom's are Queens for the weekend.

 

May 15, 16
- Our first ever yard sale. We do the advertising and set up the tables. Tables are $20 each. Bring all your goodies to sell. Runs from Saturday 8 am till 2:30 pm. Sign up at the office.
 

May 22,23

-Bingo---come meet our own Vanna White. It's all for fun.

 

May 28,29,30,31

-Memorial Day Weekend This is one of our biggest weekends, BOOK EARLY. All Veterans save 10% with ID. We are having a special craft for the kids, face painting, obstacle course, and a special ceremony and parade for all of our soldiers. Sunday night is "Movie under the Stars". Bring a blanket or chairs, we bring the popcorn. Concession stand will be available.  Pick up a schedule in the office.

 

June 4, 5

-Karaoke in the Pavilion. Come one come all for our own special Rockview Idol contest.

 


June 12, 13

----Our first ever Mardi Gras Weekend! This is one event you don't want to miss. There will be decorating the golf cart for the parade, craft is making a mask for the ball. Big parade Saturday afternoon with beads and candy for all. Evening is the Masquerade Ball. We ask that you dress up a little for the ball and wear a mask. A DJ will be provided.  Sign up at the office for snacks to bring. BYOB of course. Refreshments will be available.

 


Summer Events


June 19, 20

 -Father's Day Weekend, special craft for Dad from the kids. Our first ever Sportopia. Come join us in the field by the Pavilion for lots of "manly" games. Flag football, soccer, volleyball. Sign up for your teams at the office. Join us at 6:00 pm till 7:30 pm in the Pavillion for our BBQ. Price is $5.00 for a hamburger, hotdog and soft drink, beans, macaroni salad, potato salad and more. Purchase tickets at the office.


June 26, 27

July 3, 4, 5

 - Fourth of July Weekend!!! BOOK EARLY we fill up fast. Meet in Pavilion for special craft. Tie Dyed T-Shirts! Cost is $5 a T-Shirt. Sign up and pay at the office on Friday night so we can make sure we have enough t-shirts. Face painting parade with old fashioned horns and unique instruments. A pool party (weather permitting). Movie under the Stars Sunday night (weather permitting) popcorn will be provided, bring a blanket or chairs. Concession stand will be available. For fireworks come to the office, we will have a list of local places that have them. Please note that we usually can see some from the field where the movie is.


July 10, 11
 -Spaghetti Dinner---Another first $2 per person. Our Seasonal Campers are cooking up a home made spaghetti dinner to remember.  Come one, come all.

July 17, 18

Hawaiian Luau--Hula hoops, leis, create a fish craft and more. Pig Roast Saturday night at the Pavilion. Cost is $5 a person. Meet at the pool for our Nightly swim. Limbo, music and much more.


July 24, 25

It's Christmas in July. Come one come all. Site decorating contest. Kids vote and pick the winner. Winner gets a $25 gift certificate. Decorate the tree at the Pavilion. Sunday morning is Breakfast with Santa. Cost is $3 a person all you can eat pancakes. Santa will have a special gift for all children who attend.


July 31, Aug 1

---Thanksgiving Weekend! We bring the turkey you bring the sides. Sign up at the office.


Aug 7, 8

---Pirates of the Caribbean Weekend! BOOK EARLY we sell out fast. There is a Scavenger Hunt, Pinata. An afternoon pool party with pirate tube racing and more. 7 pm is Casino Night....play cards, roulette wheel and other games of chance. You win play money which you can use to win prizes in the auction.

---Bingo Saturday Night

 


Aug 21,22

---Nature Weekend! Bring bottled water, we are going on a hike up to the "Ridge". You'll want to bring hiking shoes, long pants and water for this hike. We will pick up some pieces of nature on the way back and do crafts with what we find. We will make picture frames out of nature. Weather permitting we will have a pool party with races and games. A special guest will be with us to show off some furry friends from one of our area attractions.

 


August 28, 29

---Wind down the summer with a nice BBQ at the pool. Featuring cheeseburgers, hot dogs and more. Burgers are $1.50, hot dogs $1.00. Sorry no eating in pool area, but music and all sorts of fun will be at the pool this weekend. Weather permitting.


Fall Specials


Sep 4,5,6

---Labor day Weekend! Book Early this is a huge weekend! Carnival featuring "throw a pie at Uncle John", all sorts of games and prizes for all. Most Seasonal campers help out with this event. Sunday night is Movie under the Stars, popcorn included. concession stand will also be available. Look for fireworks in the sky. Office will have a list of advertised fireworks for the area.


Sep 11, 12

---Western Weekend! Calling all cowboys and cowgirls. Bring your cowboy hats. Rooting Tooting weekend of fun. Horse racing, bobbing for apples, and more. Saturday night is our famous "Chili Cookout". Everyone brings their best chili to the Pavilion and we eat a lot. Square dance to follow the chili cookout so bring your partner and let's dance.


Sept 18, 19

---This weekend is Pot Luck Dinner and game night. Bring a dish to the Pavilion. Bring a game too. We will have family night of games. Monopoly, Scattagories, Pictionary, Cards and more.


Oct 2, 3

---BOOK EARLY FOR HALLOWEEN WEEKEND! This is our best event. The Seasonal Campers put on the best show in town. Watch out behind you, you never know what will pop out of the woods. We close down sites for this event. It is a scary trail with all sorts of things popping in and out. Last year was so scary a woman actually wet her pants...we try not to scare the kids too much, the adults are another story. LOL! Not for the weak of heart.

 


Oct 9, 10

----Slow down weekend! Uncle John and Aunt Julie will cook up a meal to remember. You bring nothing. We provide all. Just come, eat and enjoy! You will be surprised at what we cook up for you. Sunday morning at 9:00am is breakfast with Uncle John and Aunt Julie, featuring waffles, donuts, coffee and more. Come one, come all. This is our way of saying thank you for a great year at Rockview Campground.


Oct 16, 17

---Boo hoo! Closing weekend. Don't forget to winterize your trailers and put your tarps on. The weather gets rough over the winter. We offer full winterizing and tarping services, if interested sign up and pay at the office. Winterizing is $100, putting on the tarps and strapping them down is $75. Thank you for camping with us.....see you May 1st, 2011. Have a great winter!


Please note that each saturday we have crafts at 11 am in the game room. all are welcome. most crafts are free. special ones are cost of supplies only.

the camp store and game room are open from 9 am till 10 pm.

The store has many new items this year come in and check out all we have to offer.
